Crispy around the edges, tender in the middle, and full of umami flavor. Use these on your homemade pizza, frozen pizza, or takeout!
Why you will love this vegan pepperoni alternative
- Simple ingredients: It really just takes a few pantry staples to make this vegan mushroom pepperoni.
- Make ahead: You can have these made in advance and just top your pizza before putting it in the oven.
- Taste: A good mix of seasonings is all you need to replicate flavors. Traditional Pepperoni uses paprika, garlic, and herbs, and we will be using the same.
What mushrooms to use for vegan pepperoni
Any mushrooms would probably taste delicious with this marinade. We use king oyster mushrooms for its shape and density. Sliced white button mushrooms would be fine, just keep in mind they will shrink a lot.
Ways to enjoy
