This red velvet smoothie is one of our more recent smoothie creations that came after buying some cooked beets at Trader Joe's. With just a few simple pantry staple ingredients you can enjoy this delicious smoothie with a hint of red velvet chocolate cake goodness! Perfect for a valentines day breakfast that can be paired with our simple chocolate tahini spread over some toast.

Ingredients

  • Banana: Must be frozen to achieve cold, creamy, deliciousness!
  • Beets: We buy already peeled and cooked beets to make this smoothie quick and easy.
  • Cocoa powder
  • Maple syrup: Or sweetener of choice.
  • Vanilla extract
  • Plant milk: We like using soy, it's a complete protein and typically comes fortified.
