This is a dish I grew up eating and it&#8217;s wonderful to be able to recreate it&#8217;s flavors using a vegan alternative for beef. If you&#8217;ve never had <em>picadillo<\/em>, think of it as a &#8220;beef hash&#8221;, a combination of ground beef, and spices, with the sweetness from onions and the tangy flavor from the olives. It&#8217;s super delicious and the leftovers can be used as a filling to many other dishes such as <em>empanadas<\/em>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/somevegancouple.com\/staging\/cuban-meat-pastry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><em>pastelitos<\/em><\/a><\/strong> and <em>papas rellenas<\/em> (aka
