  • green peas
  • avocado
  • red onion
  • jalapeño
  • cilantro
  • lime

Steps to Make Green Pea Guac

  1. Mash the peas with a fork or use a food processor to make them into a paste.
  2. Add the avocado and mash it together with the green pea paste.
  3. Add in diced onion, diced tomato, cilantro, lime juice, and salt to taste.
  4. Mix all the ingredients and serve alongside tortilla chips!

How to Store

Store in an airtight container in your refrigerator for up to 4 days. This recipe keeps well and doesn't brown.

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Fork
  • 1 food processor optional

Ingredients

  • cups Green Peas thawed or blanched
  • 1 Avocado
  • ½ Red Onion diced
  • ¼ cup Cilantro loosely packed
  • 2 Limes juiced
  • ½ tsp Salt or to taste

Instructions

  • Mash with a fork or use a food processor to make a paste from the 1½ cups Green Peas.
  • Mash the 1 Avocado into the green pea paste.
  • Dice 1/2 Red Onion and chop ¼ cup Cilantro, mix into the avocado and green pea mixture.
  • Add juice of 2 Limes, season with ½ tsp Salt or to taste.
  • Mix and serve with tortilla chips!

Notes

You can use a food processor to make a more uniform paste out of the green peas if you don't want to mash them by hand.
