Cut 1 block tempeh into strips or crumble with your hands.
Set a pan to heat at medium-high with about 1 Tbsp olive oil
Once the oil is hot, add the tempeh. Cook until lightly golden brown (approximately 1-2 minutes on each side).
Add 2 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 Tbsp maple syrup, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder and 1 tsp smoked paprika to the tempeh and mix together in the pan. You can measure ahead of time and pour the mixture in, or just add the ingredients directly into the pan with the tempeh.
Once it's all combined and cooked to your liking, remove from heat and serve!
