Fried Sweet Plantains (Plátanos Maduros)

Ingredients

  • 1 plantain ripe with black spots
  • oil for frying, enough to coat the bottom of your pan.

Instructions

  • Peel the plantain and cut into ½ inch diagonal slices.
  • In a frying pan, heat oil over medium heat.
  • Once the oil is hot, add the plantain slices and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Once the plantains are done cooking, place on a plate with paper towels to remove excess oil.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
