Slice oranges and place them in your pitcher with the sugar. Mash the oranges with a spoon or muddler to extract the juice and mix with sugar.
Slice the lemon and dice the apple, add that to the pitcher along with the whole cinnamon stick.
Add the wine, mix, and refrigerate for a few hours before serving, preferably overnight.
Notes
For a higher alcohol content, feel free to add vermouth, brandy, cognac or orange liqueur. If we have it at home, we like to add a splash of triple sec.
