Tinto de Verano: Spain's Summer Drink

A refreshing Spanish drink that translates to "red wine of summer"

Tinto de Verano is made by mixing red wine with soda, typically lemon-lime soda or a citrus-flavored soda like Sprite or 7UP, and sometimes a splash of vermouth or other spirits. It's like sangria but simpler and lighter, that's why it's so popular for hot summer days in Spain. The exact recipe can vary depending on personal preferences and regional variations.

How to make Tinto de Verano?

Making Tinto de Verano is one of the simplest drinks to prepare. Just fill your glass with some ice, lemon wheel is optional, pour some red wine about half way through the glass and top it off with lemon-lime soda (we used Sprite).
